Hi,
Thanks for the suggestion. Can you tell us which settings you find yourself changing often? Might be helpful in figuring a solution.

When I get back in U.S. I will give you the settings I address. Thanks for asking. What I am specifically asking about are the settings relating to exporting/producing the final output. There are quite a few settings in General-Video-Audio tabs (I'm doing this from memory so hopefully I have your headings right or close).
The reason to have a save setting to Number 1 or 2 etc. is that sometimes I want very high quality and a large output file is good, other times, for files to upload or add as mail attachments, size is more critical than great quality.
And by the way Great Product.
Here is an example of something I would like to assign to a save button (I think 3 or 4 such "buttons" would be great).
General:
Export frames whole movie
Scale to pixles 256x1440
Keep aspect ratio
Pad with dblack
Video:
Codec windows media 9
Quality 100
2 passes
1st pass bit rate 9600
Full frame rate 30fps
Ok, thanks for the feedback.
I have a lot of videos to produce that are going to be part of a set. It's important for me that I don't lose any recording settings I've made so that the videos match as closely as possible. Also I may make all of them then at a later date find I need to re-make one or add another. In the meantime I may have recorded other videos with different recording settings . So it would also be useful for me to have a saved settings file backed up and labelled that I can re-apply when required.
Is it possible? In the meantime I'll have a root around & see if I can find where the program stores the settings...
Thanks.
Hi,
FlashBack doesn't have a way of saving sets of recording settings like this, but you could make copies of the settings file and copy the desired one into the correct location when you want to use a particular set of settings.
The recording settings file can be found here:
c:\users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Blueberry\FlashBack5 Recorder.xml
Hope this helps.
Regards,
Dave

Thanks Dave. That solution will be fine for me.
Cheers,

Hi can I make a recording, save it and the re open at a later date and add to it?
Do you mean that you want to resume recording into a previously saved recording session? You can't do that but you can join two separate recording sessions together by using the Insert -> FlashBack Movie option (in the Pro edition only)
Hi, sorry for bumping but for some reason FlashBack won't save my MPEG quality settings everytime I restart the app. I checked the FlashBack5 Recorder.xml file and "MPEGQuality" always gets changed to 1 and I have to set it to 4 manually (from the Options menu) since that's the quality I want to keep in my videos.
Any help with how to fix this? The other settings seem to be saved fine. I have the latest version installed already.
Thanks!
We'd need to look at your log files to see if they show anything unusual. Next time your settings get reverted, please go to Help -> Support -. Report Problem to Blueberry to send those to us.

After setting all of the advanced options for recording, is there a way to save the settings for later use. It might be helpful to have a couple of custom settings (one for higher performance one for lower) saved so they can be 'applied' as needed without having to change/remember all the parameters.
