This sort of behaviour would change depending on whether you have the 'Loop playback of selection' option enabled in the Movie menu or not.
When enabled, playback will start from the beginning of the selection and just play until the end of the selection but if it is disabled, playback will start from the last frame that you selected and continue to the end of the recording..

Hi,
When I highlight a selection of frames, and click 'play', I'm getting mixed results.
Sometimes it only plays my selection (which is what I would expect), but most of the time it just starts playing from the end of my selection, and my selected frames become un-selected.
I've tried working out if I'm accidentally doing anything different when it does/doesn't work, but I can't seem to pinpoint it.
Am I doing something wrong? or is it a bug?
