When the defered shutdown feature is enabled, there are 2 separate periods of time - the initial period, when you have the option to defer shutdown or not, and the defered period, when shutdown is actually defered.
The defered period is always added to the end of the initial period, so it doesn't matter if you choose to defer shutdown during the first minute of the initial period or the last minute of the initial period, the time when the server finally shutsdown will always be the same.
For example, if you have an initial period of 1hr and then choose to defer shutdown for 2hrs, the server will always shutdown 3hrs after the scheduled shutdown.
So if you are using defered shutdown, you may want to consider the impact that the initial period will have on your schedules. Do you want to leave your schedule unchanged but with the initial period as extra time at the end? Or do you want to shorten the schedule knowing that it will always be extended by the initial period?
